FAQ · MILLION PIXEL REVIVAL
Frequently Asked Questions
How the grid works, pricing, and what happens after you purchase.
How does the grid work?
The wall is a 100×100 block grid. Each block equals 10×10 pixels, meaning 100 real pixels. That’s 10,000 blocks × 100 pixels = 1,000,000 pixels total.
What’s the difference between FREE, RESERVED, and SOLD?
- FREE — available. You can select and purchase it.
- RESERVED — temporarily locked. Someone submitted their details and the artwork is being reviewed or prepared.
- SOLD — finalized. Artwork is published and clickable.
How much does it cost?
The reference price is $1 per pixel, inspired by the original Million Dollar Homepage (2005). Each block contains 100 pixels, so one block costs $100. If you select multiple blocks, the total updates in real-time in the purchase modal.
Can I buy a non-rectangular shape?
Not at the moment. Your selection is automatically adjusted to the smallest rectangle that contains all selected blocks. If that rectangle includes any blocks that are already SOLD or RESERVED, checkout is blocked and you’ll be asked to pick a different free area.
What happens after I submit my order?
After you confirm your reservation:
- Your selected blocks move to RESERVED.
- I receive your details (name, website, email, image, message) and review them manually.
- Once approved and payment is completed, the area becomes SOLD and your artwork appears on the wall — clickable and linked to your website.
Can I update my image after it’s published?
Yes, within reasonable limits. Reach out via the Contact page and include the updated artwork you’d like to publish.
How long will my block stay online?
The goal is to keep the project online long-term as a piece of web archaeology, just like the original 2005 version. If the domain or site structure changes in the future, I’ll do my best to preserve the page or redirect it properly.
